The Parade is coming, and you are invited to be a part of it. Melissa Residents are encouraged to come out and cheer on the award winning Melissa High School Mighty Cardinal Band as they hold their second annual Red Pride March-A-Thon.
Saturday, Aug. 18th, the band will march through The Villages of Melissa, Country Ridge Estates, Hunters Ridge, Liberty, Trails of Melissa, and Berry Farms to provide entertainment for the community and give residents an opportunity to support the band. Supporters can make a donation to help band members cover their individual band expenses for the year, such as uniform fees, private lessons, instrument rental and maintenance, and the spring trip.
The March-a-thon will begin at 9:00 am at Melissa High School. The band will first march through the Villages of Melissa and enter Country Ridge Estates about 9:30 am. The next stop will be Hunters’ Ridge at about 10:15 am. Students will then continue on to Liberty at 11:00 am, and then proceed to the Trails of Melissa about 11:30 am. The last portion of the march-a-thon will take place in Berry Farms at about 12:00 noon. For more information, visit the MISD website at Melissaisd.org and click on the band page.
